About

About Me

I completed my primary and secondary education in Cirebon and Majalengka while simultaneously studying at several Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) across West Java. I pursued my undergraduate studies at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, initially majoring in Physics (incomplete), and subsequently earned a degree in Constitutional Law & Siyasah (graduated in 2018). During my time as a student, I was actively involved in various intra- and extra-campus organisations, including the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Student Senate, the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII), the KNPI of Yogyakarta, and served as the Chairperson of the West Java-Yogyakarta Student and Alumni Association (IKPM).

I later pursued a Master's degree at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (graduated in 2022). I have served as a non-permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Sharia, UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati, while actively working as a reviewer for the Institute for the Review of Islamic Books and Content (LPBKI) of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) for the 2020-2025 period, and as a member of the General Islamic Religious Book Quality Standards Team at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia since 2023. Additionally, I have served in the Youth Division of the Mosque Welfare Board (2022-2026), as Deputy Secretary of the PCNU (Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Board) of Cirebon City since 2021, and as Chairperson of the Falakiyah (Islamic Astronomy) Institute of PCNU Cirebon City, as well as a member of the Regional Hisab Rukyat (Calendar and Moon-Sighting) Expert Team for Cirebon Regency since 2018.

At the time of this book's publication, I am a recipient of the Indonesia Bangkit (MoRa-LPDP) scholarship and am pursuing a PhD at Kent Law School, University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom.

Research Interests

The writing process begins with mood rather than plot.

Scenes are constructed around tension, stillness, and psychological pressure, with careful attention to pacing and rhythm.

Silence is treated as an active element of the narrative.

What is withheld often carries as much weight as what is revealed.

Organisational Engagement

  • Psychological tension over action

  • Absence, waiting, and confinement

  • Memory and suppressed knowledge

  • Choice, consequence, and quiet responsibility
